Scott Lawrence has over two decades of experience in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Scott is currently the Chair at Transelec, a leading electricity transmission company in Chile with over $3 billion in assets. Prior to their current role, they were a Board Member at Entertainment One, a Canada-based entertainment company focused on the acquisition, production, and distribution of film and television content rights across various media throughout the world.
Mr. Lawrence began their career in the infrastructure and energy industries in the late 1990s, holding various positions in project finance, investment banking, and private equity. In 2006, they joined the CPP Investment Board, one of Canada's largest institutional investors, as Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure. During their time at CPPIB, they were responsible for leading the team that invested over $8 billion in infrastructure assets across North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
Mr. Lawrence has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
Scott Lawrence completed a Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, followed by an MBA at Harvard Business School. Scott has also completed a B. Comm (Hons) in Business at Queen's University.
