Amanda Petrarca has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Amanda currently works as a Product Manager at Transeo, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Stride, Inc. from December 2019 to August 2021 as a Specialist in Talent Development and Community.

Their longest tenure was at K12, where they held multiple roles from December 2014 to December 2019. Amanda started as a Students First National Instructional Coach/ISMI AA/IC, supporting curriculum development and implementing character education programs for 6-12th grade students in a virtual setting. Amanda also briefly served as a secondary social studies teacher, responsible for curriculum development and implementing an online curriculum for U.S. History, World Studies, and Honors.

Amanda's earlier experience includes working at Summit Academy North High School as a secondary social studies teacher from August 2010 to May 2014, where they developed and revised curriculum to incorporate online learning.

Before that, they worked at Hamadeh Educational Services as a 21st CCLC & ACE Success Coordinator and secondary social studies teacher from August 2008 to August 2010. In this role, they coordinated and administered after-school programming for at-risk students.

Amanda has also worked as a Corporate Training Manager at Metro Shores from August 2005 to August 2008, where they designed and implemented a training program for all employees focusing on character development and team building.

Amanda started their career as a certified substitute teacher at Southgate Community School District from September 2001 to June 2005, where they educated students across various subjects and assisted other teachers and administrators.

Amanda Petrarca obtained a BA degree in Political Science & Social Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy, which they attended from 1999 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a MAed degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the same university, completing it from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, Amanda obtained a Michigan Teaching Certificate from the State of Michigan Department of Education. Later, in 2006, they acquired a Kentucky Teaching Certificate from the State of Kentucky Department of Education. Additionally, they earned Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Siena Heights University in November and December of 2021, respectively.
