Irene Saponara-Gottwalt

Irene Saponara-Gottwalt is an experienced cantor, currently serving at Transfiguration Catholic Church and Saint Joseph Catholic Church, where responsibilities include leading congregations in liturgically appropriate music. With a strong background in music and education, Irene has been a cantor at Saint Bernard Church and previously at Saint Michael Church, where additional duties included section leadership for sopranos. Irene also works as a substitute teacher for Saint Paul Public Schools, focusing on English as a Second Language, Learning Disabled, and Music classes, implementing lesson plans creatively. Irene holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance and Studio Teaching, as well as Vocal Music Education K-12, from the University of Saint Catherine.
