Prior roles include Groups Director at Hilton Head Island Community and Connections Pastor at Forest Hill Church's Fort Mill campus. Matt also contributed to InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as LifeGroup Director and served as Campus Staff. Educational qualifications include a Master of Divinity from Regent College and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Interdisciplinary Studies from Virginia Tech.

Dr. Derwin L. Gray is the founding and lead Pastor of Transformation Church (TC), located just south of Charlotte, North Carolina. The Vision of Transformation Church is to be a multiethnic, multigenerational mission-shaped community that loves God completely (Upward), ourselves correctly (Inward), and our neighbors compassionately (Outward).
