Executive Vice President, Operations at Transformative Pharmaceutical Solutions

Syed Shah began their career in 1999 as a Project Manager and New Product Introduction Manager at GlaxoSmithKline. In 2006, they moved to GE Healthcare as a Global Project Director, leading a team of 12 and orchestrating the product strategy development plan and activities across all project phases. In 2008, they joined Novartis as Global Head Strategic Planning & Operations, overseeing the strategy and operations of a global healthcare organization. Syed led a cross-functional team of 100 applying new clinical procedures in generic medicines. In 2016, they joined Transformative Pharmaceutical Solutions, LLC as Executive Vice President, Operations, leading global operations in 14 countries. Syed defined the company growth strategy and developed clinical development strategies and emerging technologies. Syed also spearheaded speaking engagements and shared ideas on new trial execution strategies, helping the startup company become the partner of choice for several top ten pharma companies.

Syed Shah began their educational journey at Friern Barnet Grammar School from 1981 to 1986, where they studied English, Mathematics, French, and German. Syed then attended The Latymer School, London from 1986 to 1988, where they achieved GCE A levels in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Syed Shah continued their education at Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London from 1988 to 1994, where they received a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry. Finally, Syed Shah obtained a PhD in Chemistry from Queen Mary University of London from 1991 to 1994.
