Meera Vaidyanathan

Director of Development at Transgender Law Center

Meera Vaidyanathan (she/her) brings 15 years of fundraising experience to TLC, spanning foundations, corporate, events, and individual donors. She is passionate about leadership development and reframing fundraising as solidarity for visionary organizations working for justice. Most recently, Meera was Director of Development at the New York City Anti-Violence Project where she grew the budget from $3M to $6M under a first-time Executive Director, taking the organization from a deficit to one with a growing reserve. Prior to that, she ­served as Director of Development at Sadie Nash Leadership Project, stewarding an ambitious trajectory of growth and representing the organization at the White House to accept the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award from First Lady Michelle Obama. Originally from the Bay Area, Meera lives in Brooklyn with her partner.
