Carl Charlier

Carl Charlier serves as the Commercial Manager for the HumeLink Project at Transgrid since January 2022, leading a significant $5 billion infrastructure initiative by overseeing procurement transactions and contractor appointments under an incentivised target cost model. Prior to this role, Charlier held various positions at WaterNSW from March 2015 to January 2022, including Manager of Water Sector Reform, Head of Procurement, and Head of Corporate Finance, where notable achievements included implementing a market-leading revenue volatility insurance product and a major $750 million dividend distribution to shareholders. Charlier began a professional career at NSW Treasury from May 2011 to March 2015, focusing on investment management for state-owned water businesses, and experienced initial roles as an Analyst at Deloitte Australia from January 2008 to April 2011. Charlier's educational credentials include an MBA from AGSM @ UNSW Business School and UCLA Anderson School of Management, along with a Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting and dual bachelor's degrees in Commerce and Economics from UNSW.
