Transition House is an innovative community-based nonprofit organization founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1976. Transition House provides a comprehensive range of community interventions and  supported housing options for individuals and families surviving domestic and intimate partner violence. We facilitate an empowering environment where people can rebuild their lives and pave a path to long term safety and stability. We join with survivors to raise awareness about the widespread impact of domestic violence and advocate for systemic change. We train professionals and educate people of all ages to address domestic violence. We build deep partnerships across sectors to create and sustain a safer, healthier community.
