Jennifer Shakespeare

Jennifer Shakespere is an experienced professional in the fields of community programs and advocacy, currently serving as the Director of Community Programs and Elder Advocate at Transition House, Inc. since August 2022. Jennifer provides intervention services to survivors of domestic violence, specifically focusing on individuals aged 60 and older, while coordinating with various community providers. As the owner of J'Sha since January 2022, Jennifer empowers individuals to navigate their paths after trauma and toxic relationships. In addition, Jennifer works as a Family Specialist at Loving Mimi, offering consulting services to families involved with the Department of Children and Families. Prior experience includes a role as a Social Worker at Greater Lynn Senior Services, Inc., where Jennifer managed cases of elder abuse and collaborated with multiple stakeholders to mitigate risks for vulnerable elders. Earlier, Jennifer served as a Victim/Witness Advocate at the Essex County District Attorney's Office, providing essential services to victims and their families. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
