Steve Shelton

Interim Chief Executive Officer at Transitions LifeCare

Steve Shelton has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Steve is currently serving as the CFO at Transitions LifeCare, a position they have held since May 2022. Before joining Transitions LifeCare, they worked as the CFO at Advance Community Health for six years from September 2016 to May 2022. Prior to that, Steve was the Director of Finance at Wake Emergency Physicians, PA from September 2010 to August 2016. Steve started their career at Joyce and Company CPA as a Senior Accountant in 2001 and then worked as a Supervisor at McGladrey from 2007 to 2010.

Steve Shelton earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina between the years 1993 and 1997. Steve then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General at Elon University's Martha and Spencer Love School of Business from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Steve obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners in May 2004.
