Amita Basu

Senior Research Fellow at Transitions Research

Amita Basu is a Senior Research Fellow at Transitions Research, leading the Behavioural Insights Team to promote sustainability through behaviourally-informed strategies, including fieldwork design and policy recommendations. In addition to research, Amita is a Writer with an upcoming debut collection, *At Play and Other Stories*, to be published by Bridge House Press in summer 2025. Amita also serves as the Sustainable Living Columnist and Interviews Editor for Mean Pepper Vine and has held editorial roles at several literary magazines, including Fairfield Scribes and Bewildering Stories. Previously, Amita was an Assistant Professor at Christ University in Bangalore and holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from the Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences.
