Senior DEI Facilitator and Consultant at Translator

Casey Tonnelly, PCC has extensive experience in coaching, DEI facilitation, and community engagement. They currently hold the position of Owner/Principal Coach at Beyond Thinking, where they provide coaching on various topics including communication, conflict resolution, anti-racism, and leadership development. They also manage all day-to-day operations for the business.

Casey also works as a Premier Fellow Coach at BetterUp, where they continue to provide coaching services.

In addition, Casey is a Senior DEI Facilitator and Consultant at Translator, Inc. They facilitate client experiences, focusing on DEI topics such as privilege, bias, and microaggressions.

Before these roles, Casey worked at the City of Seattle as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Strategist. In this position, they organized and cultivated a community of practice, developed training programs to minimize personal biases in employment decisions, and managed the program budget.

Prior to that, Casey held various roles at the City of Seattle, including Planning & Development Specialist II and Community Preparedness Planner. They were responsible for managing community planning programs, expanding the Community Emergency Hub Program, and implementing inclusive outreach strategies.

Casey's early work experience includes roles as a Community Disaster Education Manager & Corps Member at the American Red Cross, where they developed and taught disaster education, and as a Corps Member at Americorps National Civilian Community Corps, where they focused on education, unmet human needs, and disaster relief.

They also have experience as an HIV Test Counselor at the New York State Department of Health.

Casey Tonnelly, PCC completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Stony Brook University, attending from 1996 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Casey obtained the following:

- PCC (Professional Certified Coach) designation from the International Coaching Federation in March 2022.
