John Longstaff

John Longstaff is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions. As Director at Translink Corporate Finance since July 2019, following the rebranding from BHP Corporate Finance in 2023, John has successfully collaborated on numerous global projects. Prior to Translink, John held the Director position at BHP Corporate Finance from January 2008 to February 2023, where management of deals, sourcing finance, and strategic planning were key responsibilities. Previously, John served as Investment Manager at YFM Equity Partners, overseeing deal origination and execution. John's career began at Grant Thornton UK LLP, where roles included Corporate Finance Senior Manager and Audit Trainee. John holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Management from The University of Sheffield and qualifications from ICAEW.
