Vasudha Verma

Vasudha Verma is a nuclear engineer with experience working in research and development roles within academia, industry, and government organizations. Vasudha has worked as a senior nuclear engineer at TRANSMUTEX since 2023. Prior to this, they held postdoctoral fellow positions at Paul Scherrer Institut PSI from 2019 to 2021 and at CEA from 2018 to 2019. Vasudha also worked as a doctoral student at Uppsala University from 2012 to 2017, where they focused on fission diagnostics and safeguards. Vasudha's work has involved collaborations with CEA on the instrumentation and control of the generation-IV reactor ASTRID, where they spent 2.5 years as an external collaborator from 2013 to 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked as an intern at CEA and as a summer student at IGCAR, where they gained experience in sodium aerosol characterization and distribution in a sodium-cooled fast reactor.

Vasudha Verma graduated from Hindu College, University of Delhi in 2009 with a degree in B.Sc (H) in Physics. Vasudha later went on to pursue a Masters degree in Nuclear Reactor Physics and Engineering at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 2010-2011. In 2009-2012, they completed their M.Tech in Nuclear Science and Technology at Delhi University. Finally, from 2012-2017, they pursued a Doctoral Degree in Physics with specialisation in Applied Nuclear Physics at Uppsala University.
