Carlos Ortiz Reguer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Starting in 1988, they co-founded EACO MEXICANA S.A. DE C.V. and successfully expanded sales within the Oil & Gas, industrial, and power generation sectors. Carlos also developed commercial distribution contracts with top equipment manufacturers.

In 2005, Carlos joined GE Oil & Gas as the Country Manager for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Carlos was responsible for designing and implementing sales strategies, managing budgets, and developing customer relationships.

Carlos then joined Transocean in 2008 as the Business Development & Marketing Manager. Carlos played a key role in account and contract management, as well as identifying new business opportunities. Carlos'sbidding efforts resulted in the award of a multiyear $1.5B+ incremental backlog.

In 2013, they joined Seadrill as the Marketing Manager for the Americas region. Carlos led business development efforts and achieved a $1.8B backlog increase. Carlos focused on markets such as Arctic, Eastern Canada, US Gulf of Mexico, and Latin America, working with major O&G operators.

Moving on, Carlos worked at Rowan Companies as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Latin America. Carlos successfully led sales and marketing efforts in the region from September 2016 to May 2018.

Carlos's next role was as a Board Director at SVX Mexico, where they aimed to change conventional business thinking and promote sustainable and regenerative business models.

Currently, Carlos is the Director of Market for Latin America at Transocean, where they are responsible for marketing strategies in the region.

In addition to their corporate experience, Carlos has also served as the Chairperson of the Board for the IADC Latin America Chapter since January 2020.

Carlos Ortiz Reguer earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical - Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México during the period of 1988 to 1993. In 2020 to 2021, they pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
