Ms. Parveen Mahmud is the Chairperson, Underprivileged Children Education
Program (UCEP) – Bangladesh.
She has diversified experiences with national
and international development agencies, corporate and as practicing
accountant. She started her career with BRAC and was the Deputy Managing
Director of PKSF, apex funding organization for Microfinance Institutes for
poverty alleviation through employment generation and institutional
development.
Ms. Parveen Mahmud was the Founding Managing Director, Grameen Telecom
Trust (GTT). She was a partner in Acnabin & Co., Chartered Accountants. She is the first woman
President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), and also, the first
female board member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), apex accounting
the professional body of SAARC.
She is the Chairperson of CA Female Forum- Women in Leadership
The committee, ICAB and is the Vice-Chairperson of the Women in Leadership Committee of SAFA.
In addition to Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), Ms. Mahmud sits in numerous other
Boards including BRAC International and Chairs the Finance and Audit Committee, PKSF,
RDRS, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), DAM Foundation for Economic Development
(Dhaka Ahsania Mission), Bashful, Grameenphone Ltd.
She is the Independent Director of the
Apex Footwear Ltd. and Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd. Ms. Mahmud is the Chairperson of Her
Story Foundation and Dakkha- Skilling Bangladesh. She was the Chairperson, Micro Industries
Development and Assistance Services (MIDAS), Acid Survivor’s Foundation, and Shasha Denims
Ltd. She is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Bangladesh.
