Alejandro Salas has extensive experience in leadership and management within the field of transparency and anti-corruption. Currently serving as the Head of Global Movement at Transparency International since September 2002, Alejandro directs a 12-person department overseeing country and program initiatives across the Americas and Asia Pacific. Previous roles include interim Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Programme Manager, and Strategy and Development Manager, where strategic updates were developed in collaboration with various stakeholders. Alejandro’s earlier experience includes project management and research at Instituto Apoyo, as well as academia, holding a position as head lecturer at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Alejandro holds a Master's degree in Public Policy and Administration from the International Institute of Social Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universidad Iberoamericana.
