David Klein

Mr. Klein brings to the Transparent Health Marketplace deep experience in health insurance and medical care delivery. He is currently a director of venture capital and private equity-funded health care companies. He is chair of the New York State health information exchange. He also serves as a member of the University of Rochester faculty and as a special advisor to their Medical Center CEO. Most of his career has been with BlueCross BlueShield. His assignments included serving as the CEO of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield providing coverage to nearly two million members as well as leading Excellus’s home care, medical group, long-term care insurance, and benefits consulting businesses. He has been an industry leader serving as a director of America’s Health Insurance Plans and the national BlueCross BlueShield Association.
