Rick Lewis

President & CEO at Transpere

Rick has been a visionary in ITAD (Information Technology Asset Disposition) for almost 30 years and a leader in the industry with the concept of a scalable and portable onsite electronic data eradication service. Rick partnered with a top tier OEM to deliver the onsite (customer site) hard drive erasing service to the Fortune 1000 across all industry sectors for the last 8 years. The onsite data eradication services ranged from a single hard drive in a remote location to data centers with thousands of drives in need of data clearing.

Rick co-founded Techway Services in 2004 with the idea that protecting client data and an end to end solution for retired IT assets would be the future of IT Asset Management. Additionally, Rick custom designed recycling projects for national retail chains with hundreds of locations in need of reverse logistics and a centralized solution. He has also crafted solutions for manufacturing, telecom, government and education sectors.

Rick created a joint venture partnership, GEEP Texas, to bring an electronic end of life solution to the USA. The joint venture facility featured electronic recycling machinery that shredded and separated the metals from all types of IT equipment that no longer had an opportunity for reuse. He was also responsible for the successful completion of ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 14001 and R2 standards in those organizations.

Rick has traveled extensively in Hong Kong, China and South America to understand international trade and business cultures. Rick has been involved with import and export business for years. Through his experiences, Rick has gained valuable business knowledge in foreign trade. Through his consulting services, Rick is able to share a wealth of knowledge with his clients in need of any type of ITAD service as well as import/export expertise.
