Jonathan Marsh

Jonathan Marsh has a diverse and extensive work experience in the transportation and planning sector. Jonathan is currently working at Transport for Greater Manchester, where they started in 2017 as a Strategic Planning Manager and later assumed the role of Acting Head of Strategic Planning & Innovation in October 2022.

Prior to their current position, Jonathan worked at Atkins from 2015 to 2017 as a Managing Consultant. Before that, they were associated with WSP Group for a significant period, starting in 1997. At WSP, they held multiple roles, including Associate Director from 2014 to 2015, Associate from 2005 to 2013, and Engineer to Principal Transport Planner from 1997 to 2005.

Jonathan Marsh completed their education history with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Bedfordshire, during the period from 1993 to 1996. Following this, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science degree in Transport Engineering and Planning from The University of Salford, which they completed in the academic year 1996-1997.
