Terry Cook

Terry Cook has extensive experience in systems engineering and asset management within the transport sector, specifically in the Metrolink Light Rail system. Since November 2017, Terry has held various roles at Transport for Greater Manchester, including Interim Metrolink Engineering Manager and Principal Asset Engineer S, T & E, focusing on the management of telecommunications, signalling, and electrical installations. Previous roles include Signalling & Telecommunications Engineer at KeolisAmey Metrolink and RATP Dev, where responsibilities encompassed ensuring safety compliance, developing maintenance regimes, and managing asset performance. Terry began a career in signalling and telecommunications at British Rail as a Technician and progressed through several positions, building a strong foundation in engineering practices. Educational credentials include attendance at Openshaw Technology College and St Matthews R.C High School.
