Waqas Hussain

Waqas (Kye) Hussain currently serves as the Innovation Lead at Transport for London, where responsibilities include leading proof of concept initiatives and horizon scanning for the Strategy & Innovation Directorate. Over time, Waqas has developed and led TfL's first accelerator programmes, formulated key academic engagement strategies, and engaged with various stakeholders on emerging technologies and innovation projects. Previous positions at Transport for London encompassed roles in strategy and management, including significant contributions to C-suite strategy papers and operational management at London Underground. Prior experience includes strategic analysis at Go Banana and Kantar, as well as analytics roles at GE Healthcare and Decipher Media Consultancy. Waqas earned a BSc in International Management from SOAS University of London.
