Juan Restrepo is a skilled community organizer with extensive experience in various roles within organizations focused on transportation and customer service. Currently serving as a Community Organizer at Transportation Alternatives since June 2016, Juan previously held the position of Co-chair for the Queens Borough President's Transition Transportation Team from December 2020 to February 2021. Earlier experience includes a Media Planning Internship at 87AM in 2015 and a Customer Service Lead role at Whole Foods Market, where responsibilities included managing the Customer Service Booth and supervising a team of 30. Additionally, Juan interned at BBC America, contributing to event planning and financial analysis. Juan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Stony Brook University, earned in 2013.

Transportation Alternatives’ mission is to reclaim New York City's streets from the automobile and to advocate for better bicycling, walking, and public transit for all New Yorkers. Streets and sidewalks are 80% of our public space in New York City – but right now, our lives are polluted, congested, and endangered by car and truck traffic. Transportation Alternatives believes that this public space belongs to the people of New York City, and we are working with New Yorkers in every borough to reclaim our streets.
