Craig Lafond

Craig Lafond is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in government and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as the Deputy Associate CIO for IT Shared Services at the U.S. Department of Transportation since May 2015, Lafond previously held key positions such as Deputy Director of the Web Communications Division - IT Operations at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services from April 2003 to May 2015 and Senior Information Technology Specialist at the National Cancer Institute from February 1991 to April 2003. Lafond began a career in technology as a Computer Programmer in the U.S. Army from November 1986 to August 1990, stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Excelsior University and further training from the Federal Executive Institute.
