Kara Fischer

Deputy Chief of Staff at U.S. Department of Transportation

Kara Fischer is the Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation. She previously served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional Affairs. Prior to this she served as Senior Counsel for the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and as a Senior Trial Attorney with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Kara received her JD from American University and her BA from York College of Pennsylvania. She is an avid soccer player and explorer of DC restaurants.
