Katherine Burgos-Brown

Katherine Burgos-Brown is a seasoned Transportation Program Specialist at the U.S. Department of Transportation since December 2021, previously serving as a Program Analyst. Katherine has extensive experience in the field of transportation and geographic information systems, having worked as a GIS Specialist for the New York City Department of Transportation from July 2015 to December 2021, and as a GIS Intern with the same department and with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection. Early professional experiences include internships focused on GIS and environmental restoration, along with administrative roles that contributed to organizational support. Katherine holds a Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Science from Lehman College and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
