Melissa King

Melissa King, Ph.D., serves as the Director of the Office of Innovation and Engagement at the U.S. Department of Transportation since September 2019 and has held the position of Chief Learning Officer and Director of Talent Development at the FAA since December 2012. Previously, Melissa was a Senior Manager of Organizational Effectiveness and Training at Intelsat from October 2006 to December 2012, where leadership in talent management systems implementation was demonstrated. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2006, Melissa served as the Division Training Manager at MeadWestvaco, creating a sales academy and an award-winning leadership academy. Melissa earned a Ph.D. in Management from Walden University and a Master of Science in Human Resources Development from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
