Thorsten Boeck has had a varied career since 1996, beginning with a stint in the Danish Army. Thorsten then went on to serve in NATO Peace Keeping missions in Mitrovia, Kosovo and Doboi, Bosnia-Hercegovina. In 1996, they began working for A.P. Moller - Maersk in various roles, including Project Manager of Process Excellence, Efficiency Manager of Lanside Assets & Strategic Planning, Project Analyst of Lanside Assets & Strategic Planning, Section Manager of Africa Capacity, Branch Manager in Semarang, Indonesia, and Sales Executive in Semarang, Indonesia. In 2010, they founded OnOn Shipping, and in 2011 they acted as an industry expert in Revenue Management research for Aalborg University. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Consultant for SeaIntel Maritime Analysis, and from 2013 to present they have been COO of Transporteca, part of the founding team building a digital freight forwarder.
Thorsten Boeck began their educational journey in 1983 when they attended Aabyskolen in Aabybro, Denmark, where they completed their public school education in 1992. Thorsten then attended Nørresundby Gymnasium in Denmark, where they earned their High School Diploma in 1996. In 1993, they were an exchange student at Howe High School in Texas, USA. In 2000, they completed a two month intensive German course at Dialoge Sprachinstitut in Lindau, Germany. That same year, they earned a Business Diploma from Copenhagen Business School in Organisation and Management. Finally, in 2009, they earned their MBA from IMD.
