Alexey Kabalinskiy

Alexey Kabalinskiy is a seasoned Power Systems Engineer currently employed at Transpower New Zealand since August 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Project Manager at Mercury NZ, where management of generation projects for hydro and geothermal power plants took place, and as a Visiting Researcher at the Asia-Pacific Energy Research Centre, focusing on long-term energy policy and renewable research. Alexey's engineering background began with ABB and 'MosHydroSteel' Engineering Consultancy as an Electrical Project Engineer and Electrical Design Engineer, respectively, contributing to hydropower projects. Alexey holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering from Massey University, a Master's in Renewable Energy, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
