Ann Lau

Ann Lau is a seasoned professional in operations, process improvement, and technology delivery, currently serving as the Head of Operations Process & Technology Improvement at Transpower New Zealand since November 2024. Prior to this role, Ann spent over six years at Mercury NZ as a Digital Delivery Manager, overseeing the delivery and operations of over 300 applications related to power generation and dispatch. Ann's career also includes significant positions at Mighty River Power as an ICT Business Partner and at Spark New Zealand, where Ann led a team of process analysts and contributed to large-scale process improvement initiatives. Ann began the professional journey with roles at Fonterra and Deloitte, focusing on business analysis and public sector consulting. Educationally, Ann holds a Master of Management Studies in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Finance from The University of Waikato.
