Gopi Purohit

Gopi Purohit has over 18 years of professional experience in the fields of architecture, planning, and project management. From 2017 to present, Gopi has been a Project Manager at TransSIGHT, where they have been responsible for the analysis, coordination, and facilitation of GTFS feed in the 511 Regional Transit Database, leading the implementation and operations of a multi-modal trip planner, and leading the development and implementation of a GTFS application for BART's trip planner. From 2010 to 2017, Gopi was the 511 Data Team Lead at SAIC, where they were responsible for maintaining the data from 40 Bay Area transit agencies in the 511 Transit database. From 2008 to 2010, Gopi worked as a Planner at MKThink, where they were involved in long range and strategic planning projects, analyzing land use and demographic data of neighborhoods to establish community goals, studying existing conditions of projects, and providing project support to master planning projects. From 2007 to 2008, Gopi was an Intern at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, where they worked on various projects related to 511 services, the Emergency Preparedness Plan for the Bay Area, and a TFCA grant application. From 2006 to 2007, Gopi was an Intern at the San Jose Redevelopment Agency, where they were involved in Multi-Family Housing Rehabilitation projects in Strong Neighborhood Initiative Areas. From 2001 to 2006, Gopi worked as an Architect at Neha Modi and Associate, Mistry Associates, and Vikram Pandya and Associates.

Gopi Purohit completed a Bachelor's degree from Sardar Patel University in Architecture from 1996 to 2001. Gopi then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University from 2005 to 2007.
