Erik Gonzalez has a diverse and extensive work experience. Erik started their career as a Strategy Consultant at Aggregate Industries, where they conducted market analysis and formulated acquisition strategies. Erik then moved on to Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, where they served as the Director of Analysis and Banking Supervision, responsible for financial analysis, supervision, and evaluation of new banking initiatives. After that, they worked as the Director of Finance at Banco del Ahorro Nacional y Servicios Financieros BANSEFI, overseeing financial analyses and budget planning.

Gonzalez then transitioned to El Banco Deuno, serving as the CFO and playing a pivotal role in the start-up of the bank. Erik implemented accounting and fiscal strategies to reduce net loss and total expenses. Erik later joined Ixe Grupo Financiero, first as the Director of Financial controlling, planning, and budgeting, and later as the Corporate Director of Auditing, where they improved internal control, risk management, and detected internal fraud.

Gonzalez then moved to Banorte, where they held multiple roles, including CFO of the Credit Card Business and CFO of Ixe Subsidiaries. Erik led the financial restructuring, integration, and technological implementation processes. Subsequently, they worked as the CFO at Enesa Energía, overseeing financial and technological integration, long-term planning, and successfully integrating various departments.

Gonzalez continued their career as the CFO at FIBHIOS, a mortgage REIT specializing in real estate financing. Erik devised and implemented the core banking system, treasury infrastructure, and reporting platforms, aiming for an IPO. Finally, they became the Group CFO at Consorcio Hogar, responsible for corporate restructuring and turnaround, financial and operating planning, and increasing production.

Currently, Erik Gonzalez is the CFO at Maxcom.

Erik Gonzalez's education history begins in 1993 when they enrolled at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting. Erik successfully completed this program in 1997. Following their undergraduate studies, Erik continued their education at ITAM and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from 1995 to 1999. In 1999, they furthered their studies at ITAM by completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Brokerage Finance. Later, in 2001, Erik attended Alliance Manchester Business School where they pursued an MBA with a focus on Corporate Finance, Private Equity, and Financial Strategy. Erik successfully completed this program in 2003.
