Sepideh Sarachi, PhD, PE has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sepideh is currently employed at TranSystems as a Sr Project Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at TRC Companies, Inc. as a Water Resources Engineer from December 2018 to February 2022. From 2016 to 2018, they served as a Water Resources Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler. Before that, from 2015 to 2016, they worked as an Assistant Engineer at CWE.

Dr. Sarachi also has an extensive academic background. Sepideh worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Co-Lecturer/Teaching Assistant at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering, University of California, Irvine from 2009 to 2015. Sepideh'sresearch focused on water resources, hydrologic modeling, and uncertainty analysis. Sepideh conducted statistical modeling and remote sensing data analysis applications in hydrology and studied climate variability/change and its effect on communities. Additionally, they held the role of a Teaching Assistant for the "Introduction to Hydrology" course.

Furthermore, Dr. Sarachi was involved in various leadership roles and committees. Sepideh served on the planning committees of the Iranian American Women Leadership Conferences in New York City and Orange County in 2013. Sepideh also held the position of President at the Society of Iranian Graduate Students at UCI from 2010 to 2012, organizing cultural, networking, and educational events.

In their early career, Dr. Sarachi worked as an Engineering Intern at Chagalesh Consulting Engineers and served as an Education Advisor/Mentor and Tutor at Bahar High School, where they mentored and educated high school seniors in preparation for college and Iran's national university entrance exam.

Overall, Dr. Sepideh Sarachi has an accomplished background in engineering, research, teaching, leadership, and mentoring roles across various sectors.

Sepideh Sarachi, PhD, PE completed their education in a chronological order, beginning with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology from 2005 to 2009. Sepideh then pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering at UC Irvine from 2009 to 2010. After that, from 2010 to 2015, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on Water Resources and Hydrology, also from UC Irvine.

In addition to their formal education, Sepideh Sarachi has obtained several certifications. In April 2014, they received an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification from the State of California. Following that, in April 2016, they completed the HAZWOPER 40-Hour Training from OSHA. In November 2016, they obtained the QISP certification from The California Stormwater Quality Association. Lastly, in December 2017, they received their PE (Professional Engineer) certification from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
