Carl Hooker

Carl Hooker is a seasoned consultant, speaker, and author with extensive experience in educational technology and leadership. As a consultant and speaker at HookerTech, LLC since October 2014, Carl focuses on various topics including blended learning, remote learning, and effective technology integration. In January 2022, Carl authored the book "Ready, Set, FAIL!" aimed at encouraging educators to embrace creativity through risk-taking. Co-founding K12LEADERS, a social network for educators, and serving as senior advisor for multiple Ed Tech companies, Carl plays a pivotal role in fostering connections among educators. Additionally, Carl is a faculty member at Future Ready Schools, director of the Ed Tech Influencer Network, and holds key positions as chief evangelist of innovation at Rex Academy and chief evangelist at Trashbots. Carl also co-owns Idle Hands ATX & Idle Hands HTX, blending Caribbean flavors with a vibrant atmosphere. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Learning Development from The University of Texas at Austin.
