Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt

Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt, Ph.D., currently serves as Director at TRATON GROUP since July 2025 and has held the position of Chairman of the Board at the Swedish Electromobility Centre – SEC since January 2015. Prior experience includes 30 years at Scania Group, concluding as Director of Technical Affairs, where responsibilities encompassed EU Public Affairs and collaboration with various internal teams to influence regulations and bolster innovation in the heavy-duty vehicle sector. Vågstedt has also founded the SHEPHERD initiative within Scania Innovation Factory, focusing on developing robotic solutions. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Vehicle Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, complemented by additional education from KTH Executive School and Carnegie Mellon University.
