David Chait

CEO & Founder at Travefy

David Chait is the CEO and founder of Travefy, a travel planning company. Prior to that, they worked as a senior policy advisor to the Administrator at the US Small Business Administration (SBA) from February 2010 to January 2012. In this role, they were responsible for developing, reviewing and advising on overall policy options with regard to issues impacting the small business community and the Agency. David also facilitated the design and implementation of new SBA programs, including the Small Business Jobs Act provisions, the SBA Supply Chain / Manufacturing Initiative, the Community Advantage loan program, International Patent Protection, and the $90 million State Trade and Export Promotion Grant program. David also represented the SBA in high-level policy meetings and discussions with Agency officials, Congressional leaders and representatives of the business community and general public. David has also published work on small business financing and credit markets.

David Chait began their educational career by earning an MBA from Columbia University - Columbia Business School. David then went on to earn a M.A. in Economics - Political Science from Columbia University in the City of New York.
