Yamel Torres

Yamel Torres has a diverse work experience. In 2005, they worked as a Consultant at Java Programmer/Java Developer. From 2011 to 2013, they served as Ejec Tesorería Internacional at Scotiabank. Subsequently, from 2013 to 2015, they held the role of Subdir Revenue Assurance at Scotiabank Inverlat. At Scotiabank, they had various roles from 2015 to 2021, including Subdir CRM, Subdir Préstamos Personales, Controller, PMO Banca Digital, and Originación y Alianzas Tarjeta de Crédito. Recently, they joined Travel Compositor in 2023 as a Full-stack Developer. Additionally, Yamel is also a Co-Founder of Glamping Mayan Glam since 2021, where they facilitate a nature-based luxurious experience in Tulum.

Yamel Torres pursued their education beginning in the year 2000 at Tecnológico de Monterrey CEM. Yamel attended this institution until 2004, completing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at The University of New Mexico in 2008 and graduated in 2011 with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. During their time at this university, Yamel focused on studying Machine Learning, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, and Game Theory.
