Allison Keeney began their career in 2008 as a Public Relations Coordinator for Author Sharon Brandsma. In 2009, they held the role of Account Executive at Churchill Media, Public Relations Intern at The Ulum Group, and Marketing Assistant at KEZI 9. In 2010, they started at Travel Oregon as a Global Communications Coordinator, where they were responsible for inspiring tourism to Oregon through earned media coverage, pitching story ideas to media outlets, developing and coordinating press trip itineraries, writing content for TravelOregon.com, and updating industry.traveloregon. Allison was later promoted to Communications Manager, where they implemented communications plans to raise awareness of Oregon as a leisure travel destination and generate stories that champion the value of tourism. Allison also led the agency's efforts in curating information from industry partners and in proactive outreach with consumer media outlets, managed Travel Oregon's PR agency of record, and served as primary consumer spokesperson for the agency. In 2014, Allison Keeney took on the role of Bite of Oregon Marketing Assistant at Special Olympics Oregon.
Allison Keeney attended West Albany High School before obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism, Public Relations from the University of Oregon between 2004 and 2009.
