Amanda Lowthian

Director Of Public Affairs Regional Strategy at Travel Portland

Amanda Lowthian has an extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Amanda is currently the Director of Public Affairs & Regional Strategy at Travel Portland since April 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Regional Cooperative Tourism Program Director for the Portland Region at Travel Portland from June 2017 to April 2020.

Before joining Travel Portland, they worked at Business Oregon from May 2013 to March 2017, first as a Business Development Specialist and later as a Policy Analyst. From May 2006 to May 2008, they served as the Economic Development Director at the City of Portland, and prior to that, they worked as a Policy Assistant from January 2005 to May 2006.

Amanda began their career as an Associate Producer at A&E Television from 1997 to 1999, and prior to that, they worked as an Associate Producer at Cronkite, Ward & Company from 1993 to 1997.

Amanda Lowthian attended Lincoln High School from 1984 to 1988, during which no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. After completing high school, they enrolled in Wesleyan University from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and German Studies.
