Chris Brooks

Chris Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Chris is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at TravelNest since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Modulr as the Group CFO from May 2019 to April 2022 and as the Finance Director from August 2018 to April 2019. Chris served as the Treasurer at Urban Uprising, a registered charity funding climbing and educational programs for at-risk young people, from July 2016 to August 2018. Chris also held the position of Global Financial Controller at Cloudreach from April 2016 to August 2018. Chris worked as a Pro-bono Support Member at Inspiring Scotland from December 2015 to August 2018. Chris's earlier experience includes working as an Assistant Director - Financial Advisory at Deloitte from June 2010 to April 2016, as a Manager - Risk & Compliance at KPMG from February 2009 to June 2010, and as an Assistant Manager - Audit & Assurance at KPMG from September 2003 to February 2009. Chris began their career as a Financial Analyst at Royal London from August 2002 to July 2003.

Chris Brooks completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from The University of Edinburgh, where they attended from 1998 to 2002. Subsequently, they pursued further education at ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs, where they obtained the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from 2003 to 2006.
