Derek Lewis

Derek Lewis, CAPM has a diverse range of work experience in the hospitality industry. Derek started their career in 2001 as an Assistant Restaurant Manager/Assistant General Manager at Daily Grill/Hilton Hotels and later became an Assistant General Manager at Different Pointe of View/Hilton Hotels in 2005. In 2007, they joined Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants as a Restaurant Manager but quickly rose to the position of General Manager in 2012.

In 2013, Derek moved to Sage Hospitality where they took on the role of General Manager of Food and Beverage before being promoted to Divisional Vice President of Operations, overseeing 14 restaurants and hotel food and beverage operations across the country. Derek was responsible for the development of 7 General Managers and maintaining positive relations with ownership groups.

In 2017, Derek became the Director of Food and Beverage at Sage Hospitality, managing a department that generated $14M in revenue annually. Derek led a team of over 200 associates and played a key role in the marketing initiative for Pint Brothers Ale House. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of Director of Rooms, where they directed the Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security departments for a 605-room hotel that generated $44M in annual revenue. Derek was also the property lead for implementing Marriott Brand Standards and passing the Marriott Quality Assurance Audit.

Most recently, in 2020, Derek joined TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes as the Director of Food and Beverage. Derek oversaw all food and beverage operations for a brand new golf course clubhouse, including a café, full-service restaurant, on-course offerings, and meeting space.

In 2022, Derek Lewis started a new role as a Project Manager at TravelNet Solutions.

Derek Lewis, CAPM, holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Derek also obtained a Full Stack Web Development Certificate from the University of Denver. In addition to their education, Derek has achieved two certifications as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute, which were obtained in May 2022.
