Rachel Short has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rachel currently works at Travelodge Hotels Limited, where they started in 2017. Rachel began as a Sales Advisor before moving on to become a Corporate Events Advisor. Rachel then transitioned to the role of IT Commercial Administrator and is currently the IT Commercial and Vendor Management Lead. Prior to Travelodge, Rachel worked at Pylones from 2010 to 2017, starting as an Assistant Manager before being promoted to Manager. At Pylones, they were responsible for supporting the manager, running the store in their absence, and analyzing sales data. Rachel also worked at Brantano as an Assistant Manager from 2008 to 2010, where they managed a team, handled shop admin, and focused on increasing sales through customer service training. Their earliest recorded work experience is at JJB Sports, where they worked as a Head Cashier from 2003 to 2008. In this role, they oversaw training on tills, ensured sales targets were met, and managed cash discrepancies.
Rachel Short attended Aylesbury High School from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained their GCSE's. Rachel then studied at Aylesbury College from 2003 to 2005, specializing in Health and Social Care for their A Levels. In terms of additional certifications, Rachel obtained the Contract and Commercial Management Practitioner (ACCM) certification from the World Commerce & Contracting institution in June 2023. Rachel also holds a certification in CONTRACT MANAGEMENT: BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS IN BUSINESS from the University of Southampton and World Commerce and Contracting, obtained in 2022. Additionally, Rachel has a certification in HR Fundamentals from CIPD, obtained in 2020.
