Chris Freel

Chris Freel has a solid work experience in the software engineering field. Chris started their career as a Software Engineer at MDSI in 1996 and worked there until 2001. From 2001 to 2004, Chris worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Orbitz. Chris then joined G2 Switchworks as a Senior Software Engineer in 2004 and stayed with the company until 2008. In the same year, Chris joined Travelport, where they held the roles of Senior Lead Software Engineer and Dev Team Lead.

Chris Freel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Physics from the University at Albany, SUNY, from 1989 to 1993. Chris later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics from the University of Iowa, from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Chris Freel has obtained several certifications, including certifications in Advanced System Security Design, Practical Data Science on the AWS Cloud, AWS Fundamentals, DevOps on AWS, Modern Application Development with Node.js on AWS, Functional Programming in Scala, Practical Reinforcement Learning (with Honors), and Deep Learning. These certifications were obtained from the institution Coursera, with various obtained years ranging from 2018 to 2022.
