Luis Lara

Luis Lara has extensive experience in the travel and hospitality industry. Luis is currently serving as the Managing Partner at Worldwide Destinations. Prior to this role, they were the Managing Director at TravelSmart VIP Vacation Club, where they successfully grew the business and managed a large team. Luis also served as the Deputy Managing Director at Pacifica Resort Ixtapa, where they developed business strategy and improved financial reporting. Earlier in their career, Luis held the position of SVP of Finance at ResortCom International, where they restructured the financial area and developed new marketing strategies. Luis also served as the CEO of Royal Holiday, overseeing a large staff and generating significant revenue. Prior to that, Luis worked as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Latin America at RCI | Vacation Exchange, where they managed multiple offices and drove business growth. Luis began their career as the Chief Financial Officer at Grupo Real Turismo. Overall, Luis has a proven track record of leadership, strategic planning, and business growth in the travel and hospitality industry.

Luis Lara has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, which they completed from 1985 to 1988. In 1990, they received executive education in marketing from Cornell University. In 1991, they furthered their executive education in marketing at the University of California, Berkeley. Luis also completed an Executive Education - MBA Update program in Business Administration and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000.
