Steve Johannsen

Steve Johannsen has over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Steve is currently working as the Director of Technical Operations & CMC at Travere Therapeutics since April 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Process R&D Scientist II at STA Pharmaceutical, a WuXi AppTec Company, from October 2016 to April 2019. Steve also has extensive experience at Arena Pharmaceuticals, where they held the position of Senior Research Associate for nearly a decade, from January 2006 to December 2015. Steve started their career at Pfizer, where they worked as a Research Associate from November 2003 to December 2005, and as an Intern in 2003 and 2002. Steve's expertise includes process research and development, route conception, reaction optimization, and manufacturing of API for clinical trials.

Steve Johannsen received their Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from San Diego State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2006.
