Anish Agarwal is the CEO and Cofounder of Traversal, where a focus is on developing an AI Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) agent for enterprises. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University, Anish has previously held positions as a Research Scientist at Amazon, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing, and Machine Learning Researcher at Microsoft. Anish earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from Caltech in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, Economics, and Computer Science, respectively. Early career experience includes roles as Lead Machine Learning Engineer at IKASI AI and Associate Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
