Justin Bontrager is an experienced legal professional and military officer, currently serving as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve since November 2020, where the role includes functioning as an International Law Officer. In addition, Justin is serving as an Assistant District Attorney for Travis County since August 2023, following a previous position as a Law Clerk. Justin's legal career includes intern experience at the Travis County District Attorney's office, contributing to legal research and participation in court proceedings. Prior military experience includes serving as a Military Intelligence Officer with responsibilities in political and military analysis at a combatant command joint intelligence operations center and leadership roles in intelligence operations within the US Army from November 2015 to November 2020, where Justin led an intelligence support team and handled security operations. Justin holds a Doctor of Law from Baylor University School of Law (expected November 2023) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a focus on International/Global Studies from Indiana University Bloomington.
