Carlos David Martínez Zarazua has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Carlos David started their career at Carso as an intern in 2012. Carlos David then worked at DIPLAMAR as an intern, participating in the design process of offshore platforms. At SECURE, they served as an Inspection Engineer, coordinating remodeling projects for bank branches. Carlos David worked as a Project Engineer at APCONSTRUCTION, where they supervised the construction of apartment buildings.

Carlos then joined Instituto de Ingeniería de la UNAM as a Project Engineer, where they evaluated various geotechnical projects and conducted spatial variation analysis. At LyTSA, they served as a Tunnel and Instrumentation Engineer, overseeing the construction of a subway tunnel and monitoring TBM parameters.

In 2020, Carlos worked as a Field Supervisor at Kapi Residences, managing field operations. Carlos David then joined Webuild as an Assistant Tunnel Superintendent, responsible for the construction of a tunnel with TBM in Washington DC. Carlos David generated daily production reports and ensured compliance with Tunnel Excavation Plan.

Recently, Carlos served as a Senior Tunnel Engineer at Frontier-Kemper Constructors, overseeing tunnel projects. Currently, they are employed as a Project Engineer at Traylor Bros., Inc.

Carlos David Martínez Zarazua completed their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering from Facultad de Ingeniería de la UNAM, graduating between 2008 and 2013. In addition to their formal education, Carlos also holds the OSHA 10 certification, which they obtained from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in September 2020.
