James T. Treace

James T. Treace is the Founder and President of J&A Group, LLC, a privately funded medical device investment and consulting company based in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Treace is the former President of Medtronic Xomed (MDT). Prior to its acquisition by Medtronic, Inc., in November 1999, Mr. Treace served as CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of Xomed Surgical Products, Inc. Additionally, he held CEO positions at TreBay Medical Corp., a private orthopaedic and microsurgical device company he co-founded; Concept, Inc., a leader in the arthroscopy device market, now known as Conmed Linvatec (CNMD); and Executive Vice President of Richards Medical, now known as Smith & Nephew (SNN). Former board positions include; Chairman of the Board of Kyphon, Inc. (now known as Medtronic Spine), Wright Medical, Inc. (WMGI), American Medical Systems, Inc. , now part of Endo Health Solutions, Inc. (ENDP) and Keystone Dental, Inc., a privately held dental implant company.
