Rangel (Ron) Guerrero currently serves as the Public Safety Director for St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners since May 2022. Prior to this role, Rangel Guerrero held the position of Emergency Management Section Manager - Operations at Broward County Government from August 2019 to April 2022. Rangel Guerrero has extensive experience with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist from December 2008 to August 2019, and briefly worked as a Probation Officer at Seminole County Sheriff's Office in 2010. Earlier in Rangel Guerrero's career, roles included Geographic Information Systems Technician at the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Orange County Government. Rangel Guerrero earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida.
